Two new things

I have recently been learning about the fabulous world of printmaking. This is one of my first copper plate etchings. I have titled it Aviary. It was hand etched, inked, and printed. 

Here is a still like in watercolor and Gouache. I have no title for it yet, but I refuse to call things "Untitled", so it shall simply remain nameless.

Nautilus

This is a new little watercolor painting I did, inspired by and named after the enigmatic Nautilus.

The Nautilus is a little sea creature, a cephalopod actually. They are said to be living fossils, as they have remained virtually the same for millions of years. Their beautiful shells have been greatly sought after and they have been thought to have magical qualities. Personally I find these creatures fascinating and for this piece I have combined them with the human form (also quite an interesting creature). Map

Here I have a map. Not a terribly practical map however. This is a personal map of some continent entirely in my imagination. This is chalk full of cryptic symbolism that no one cares about but me.
